This module carries the parts of a quality management system that live outside daily inspection: documents, audits, competence and improvement.
Document control. The quality manual, procedures, instructions and forms are kept with their versions. The current version is unambiguous, superseded versions stay in the archive, and only the current one is visible on the shop floor. Distribution is recorded, so you can show who had access to which version.
Internal audits. The audit plan, the checklists, the findings and the corrective actions are followed in one place. A finding does not close without a verification record, which is exactly what an external auditor looks for.
Competence. Training records and authorisations are kept as a matrix. For special processes, an operator whose competence has expired cannot start the job at the terminal — the rule is enforced rather than written on a wall.
Improvement. Customer complaints, 8D reports, corrective and preventive actions and management review inputs are linked to the records they came from, so the yearly review is assembled from live data instead of being rebuilt by hand.
