How it works

The journey of a job: quotation, order, planning, production, quality and shipment.

  • Information is entered once
  • Each step becomes the input of the next
  • Actual cost feeds back into the quoted price
  • Audit records emerge as a by-product of daily work

The journey of a job

One record, from the first quotation line to the shipping note

Quotation

The customer request is opened as a quotation, with the actual cost of previous work orders for the same part in front of you.

Step 1

Order

The accepted quotation becomes an order, with contract review completed before approval.

Step 2

Planning

Machines, sequence and durations are planned. The routing belongs to the work order and operations can be split.

Step 3

Production

The operator taps a card at the terminal and cannot start before approving the drawing and instruction.

Step 4

Quality

Measurements are linked to the work order and to the gauge used; out-of-tolerance values raise a nonconformity.

Step 5

Shipment

Shipping requires quality release; the certificate of conformity and lot certificates are attached automatically.

Step 6

The journey of a job

TIQERP carries a job from the first quotation line to the shipping note on the same record. Data created at each step becomes the input of the next one, so nothing has to be typed into a second system.

1. Quotation

A customer request is opened as a quotation. Prices are set manually, revisions are supported and revision history is kept. The actual cost of similar completed jobs is visible while pricing.

2. Order

An approved quotation becomes an order with its quantity and due date, and moves into production planning. For partial shipments the remaining quantity is tracked.

3. Planning

The production manager defines machines, sequence and durations for each job. Routings are not fixed to the part; the same part can run on different machines in different orders. One operation can be split across several machines or operators so that no machine stands idle.

4. Production

Operators start and finish work on a touch terminal at the machine, selecting themselves on screen or with an RFID card. Time spent, quantity produced, scrap and downtime reasons are recorded as they happen. Another operator can continue the same job on the next shift, and one operator can run several machines at once.

5. Quality

Inspection and measurement records are attached to the work order. When a nonconformity is raised, quarantine, rework or scrap decisions are made in the system, and the calibration status of the measuring device used is part of the record.

6. Shipment

Shipping happens after a release check. Delivery notes and invoices can still be issued from your existing accounting software; in that case TIQERP only keeps the invoiced flag.

The loop closes

The real duration, consumption and scrap of a completed work order are written to the cost side, and that cost appears in front of you when you price the next quotation. Your quoted price rests on your own history rather than on an estimate.
