Purchasing

From requisition to goods receipt: requests, supplier bidding, comparison, orders, receiving and supplier evaluation.

Purchasing starts where production notices a gap: the material requirement list compares planned jobs against the stock balance and turns a shortage into a request with one click. The request stays linked to the work order that needs it, so nobody has to ask later why an item was ordered.

Requests go through approval before they become orders. Who may approve what is part of the role matrix, and an approved request keeps its history — who asked, who approved, when it turned into an order.

Suppliers are not just addresses. The approved supplier list carries quality certificates with their expiry dates, and the system warns before a certificate lapses. Performance is calculated from on-time delivery and rejection rate rather than from memory, which makes the yearly supplier review a report instead of an argument.

Outsourced operations live inside the work order. When a part goes out for heat treatment or coating, the quantity sent and returned is tracked, the return goes through inspection, and the operation cannot be closed until the material is back and accepted.
